Whether your renovating an existing staircase or about to start a new project glass balustrades are a feature of today's modern home.

To order a bespoke glass balustrade just follow our easy step by step guide.

Step 1

When ordering glass balustrade we will require a template of the angle of your staircase, in order to do this you will need a piece of MDF or PLYWOOD approx 1000mm x 500mm (39 inch x 20 inch) and approx 6mm (1/4 inch) thick. (Fig. 1)

Step 2

Place template on top of stringer and draw a perfectly plum level line. (Fig. 2)

Step 3

Once the line has been drawn onto the template cut off using hand-saw or jigsaw (Fig. 3)

Step 4

When the template is cut place back on top of the stringer and check line is perfectly plum. (Fig. 4)

Step 5

Then turn the template upside down and check at the top of stairs. (Fig. 5)

Step 6

When template is complete, write our address onto a sheet of A4 paper stating glass template and reference your surname and tape onto it as in (Fig. 6). The writing on the bottom and side of template are not needed as these are just shown as a guide.
